Construct new interchange

MnDOT will construct a new interchange with connections at the busy intersection of Hwy 371 and Hwy 210 for improved safety, future growth and traffic flow in the Brainerd/Baxter area in 2028-2029.

Highlights

• Extend the existing frontage roads along Hwy 371 to Hwy 210, includes single-lane roundabouts to improve local access and traffic flow
• Construct one Hwy 371 bridge to span the railroad and Hwy 210 and an additional bridge over Excelsior Rd.
• Relocate Elder Dr. access to the west at Foley Rd.
• Close the existing Design Rd. connection to Hwy 371
• Add right-in access points at Golf Course Dr. and Fairview Rd.
• Update underground infrastructure, includes storm drainage
