A Findings of Fact and Conclusions document of the Environmental Assessment Worksheet for project 2 of the I-494 construction occurring in 2027-2030, is now available to view. This document provides a summary and responses to the public comments submitted from April 14 to May 16. The FOFC allows MnDOT to advance the Project 2 construction.

Background on the EAW

Location description of EAW

The proposed project is in Hennepin County in the cities of Bloomington, Edina and Richfield and the unorganized territory of Fort Snelling. Work in Bloomington extends along I-494 between West Bush Lake Rd. and 24th Ave. and work in Richfield is between Knox Ave. and Hwy 77. Work in the Fort Snelling Territory extends along the north side of I-494 between Hwy 77 and 24th Ave. The railroad siding relocation area is located approximately 2.25 miles to the south between I-35W and 98th St. in Bloomington. The only portion of the project in the city of Edina is underground pipelining near West Bush Lake Rd.
