All traffic impacts are tentative and weather dependent. Access to eastbound Co. Rd. 42 from southbound I-35W has permanently changed. Motorists will now use the newly constructed ramp at Buck Hill Rd. to access both eastbound Co. Rd. 42 and Buck Hill Rd.

Road closures
Through October
- Cliff Rd. under I-35W is closed
Lane closures
Through fall
- I-35W is reduced to two lanes in both directions between Cliff Rd. and the I-35/I-35E/I-35W split
- Hwy 13 is reduced to one lane in both directions with head-to-head traffic over I-35W
- Northbound I-35W is reduced to two lanes between the I-35/I-35E/I-35W split and the Burnsville Pkwy.
Ramp closures
Through October
- The ramp from eastbound Hwy 13 to southbound I-35W is closed
- The ramp from northbound I-35W to Cliff Rd. is closed
- Detour (eastside of I-35W): Northbound I-35W to Burnsville Pkwy. to Nicollet Ave. to Cliff Rd. (PNG)
- Detour (westside of I-35W): Northbound I-35W to Burnsville Pkwy. to Co. Rd. 5 to 126th St. to Dupont Ave. to Cliff Rd. (PNG)
Through fall
- The following ramps are closed:
- Eastbound Hwy 13 to northbound I-35W
- Southbound I-35W to eastbound Hwy 13
- Cliff Rd. to southbound I-35W

About this project
In coordination with the City of Burnsville and Dakota County, we will resurface I-35W between Cliff Rd. and the Burnsville Split.
Summary of work
- Replace both pavement and concrete pavement on I-35W
- Replace bridges at Cliff Rd., Hwy 13 and Burnsville Pkwy.
- Create new access to eastbound Co. Rd. 42 from southbound I-35W
- Create auxiliary lane
- Update guardrail
- Improve drainage
