More GIS data is now available

New GIS layers are being made available, including parcel shapes, scenic data, Commissioner’s Orders, and disposal shapes, to help users navigate land transactions at MnDOT. Please note that the data is limited, still in development, and applies primarily to new projects, with some historical information being added over time.

Historic Railroad Right of Way Plats

A layer has been added to the ROW Layers within the Layer List in RWMM. It is “Historic Railroad Right of Way Plats”. This layer consists of a collection of historic railroad right of way plats by PLS section. Checking on each section will allow access to the plat(s) in PDF format for viewing and download.

Townships – BLM/GLO Records

A layer has been added to the Reference Layers within the Layer List in RWMM. It is “Townships – BLM/GLO Records”. This layer consists of Government Land Office records from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) website that have been linked to the RWMM website. By clicking in any PLS township within the RWMM website, BLM survey records can be accessed for that township.
