Traffic impacts
Highway 19 will be closed and detoured during the first month of construction. Motorists should use Rice County Road 59/ Old Dutch Road to go around the work zone.
Summary of work
Resurfacing of Highway 19 west of Northfield is scheduled to begin July 20, 2026. It is expected to be completed late-summer/ early fall 2026. Work will occur from Decker Avenue to the roundabout east of I-35.
