During construction
Highway 28 is closed to thru-traffic. What motorists should know:
- No destination on the roadway (thru-traffic): Please follow the detour.
- Destination or home on the roadway (local traffic): You can still get there, access to homes and businesses is maintained.
- Expect restrictions in areas where crews are working in Cyrus
- Sign up to receive project updates during construction.
Important local traffic restrictions:
- To access Cyrus, please use County Road 3 to enter from the south, or find an alternate route.
- Expect to encounter restrictions in Cyrus and heavy equipment, trucks and crews working.
Thru-traffic detour
During construction, Highway 28 will close to thru-traffic and detoured:
- Cyrus access: Use County Road 3 from the thru-traffic detour to/from Cyrus.

Phase 1 and 2 are being completed concurrently:
- Phase 1 between Dahl Street and the bridge east of town
- Phase 2 between Bergen Street and Dahl Street.
