About the project
MnDOT will resurface and improve a three-mile stretch of Hwy 210 (Hwy 6) from east of the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby to east of south Hwy 6 in Deerwood. MnDOT will also reconstruct a half-mile segment in Deerwood, build two new roundabouts, add sidewalks and upgrade storm drainage.

Overall, preliminary design work will continue through 2027, followed by the completion of final design and traffic plans in 2028. Construction is scheduled in 2029 and will require a detour.
Summary of work
Crosby to west of Deerwood
- Resurface segments of road (asphalt) between Sunrise Dr. in Crosby to half-mile east of Deerwood
- Repair or replace drainage pipes or ditches, includes pipe beneath the road near Cascade Lake (requires detour)
- Install new road markings and rumble/mumble strips
- Update or repair guardrail
Through Deerwood
- Reconstruct and update the road between Lake Ave. and east Deerwood
- Reconstruct the road surface (asphalt) and adjacent entrances
- Install two compact roundabouts and align accesses at the intersections of:
- Hwy 210/6 and Co. Rd. 12
- Hwy 210 and south Hwy 6
- Replace or repair underground storm water structures, curb and gutter
- Upgrade or add pedestrian sidewalk, approaches and crossings
