Hwy 71 between Turtle River and Tenstrike will be reconstructed in the summer of 2026. The road needs reconstruction due to aging infrastructure. Motorists can expect a detour during construction. Property owners will have access to their homes and businesses during construction.

Open house

MnDOT hosted an open house on May 19 at Turtle River Town Hall. Project staff presented information on the project and answered questions. Attendees were encouraged to join the project email list for construction updates.
