Watch for overnight lane closures on Highway 15 through St. Cloud June 22-24
ST. CLOUD, Minn.— The Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin nighttime resurfacing work on Highway 15 from Highway 23 (Division Street) in St. Cloud to north of the Bridge of Hope in Sauk Rapids on Monday, June 22. Crews will work overnight through the morning of Wednesday, June 24.
Work will take place each night between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Motorists should expect alternating lane closures in both directions. Resurfacing (mill and pave) will occur in segments, so the work zone will shift as crews move along the corridor.
All work is weather-dependent, and the schedule is subject to change.
Work zone safety tips:
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for speeding in a work zone is $300.
- Drive undistracted. Avoid using phones, mobile devices, adjusting the radio – even eating – while in work zones.
- Move over. Give workers room to safely complete their work.
- Be patient. Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
- Avoid making unnecessary lane changes.
- Never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
When complete, motorists will notice a smoother ride along this segment of Highway 15 through St. Cloud.
