All traffic impacts are tentative and weather dependent. Syndicate St. to/from Hwy 169 is permanently closed. Triangle Ln. is permanently limited to right in/right out access to/from Hwy 282, use Hwy 282/Creek Ln. roundabout.

Road closures
Through early fall
- 9th St. is closed to through traffic at Co. Rd. 9
- Detour: 9th St., Valley View Dr. and Co. Rd. 9
Through early fall 2027
- Co. Rd. 9 is closed between Hwy 169 and 190th St./Valley View Dr.
- Hwy 282 is closed between Hwy 169 and Creek. Ln.
- Triangle Ln. motorists can use the Hwy 282/Creek Ln. roundabout to travel northbound on Creek Ln. during backups at the Hwy 169/Creek Ln. intersection
- Detour: Triangle Ln. to Creek Ln.
Lane closures
Through late November
- Southbound Hwy 169 is reduced to one lane between Hwy 21 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 intersection
Access changes
Through early fall 2027
- Truck traffic exiting and entering Hwy 169 at Co. Rd. 9 is detoured to the Delaware Ave./Co. Rd. 59 interchange

About this project
We are partnering with the city of Jordan and Scott County on a project which will include a new Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 interchange, two bridges (over Hwy 169 and railroad tracks), two roundabouts, pedestrian tunnel, sidewalks, retaining walls, and noise walls.
Summary of work
- Construct new interchange at Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9
- Build roundabout at the Co. Rd. 9 and Syndicate St. intersection
- Build roundabout at the Co. Rd. 9 and 190th St./Valley View Dr. intersection
- Build Co. Rd. 9 bridge over Union Pacific railroad tracks
- Widen and repair Hwy 169 bridge over Sand Creek
- Add traffic signal at NB Hwy 169 exit ramp and Hwy 282
- Build pedestrian tunnel under Hwy 169 and add new trail connections
- Construct Hwy 169 acceleration and deceleration lanes
- Build stormwater improvements
- Create retaining walls along various areas of the project
- Add noise walls on both sides of Hwy 169, north of Syndicate St. and Creek Lane

Stage 3: 2026
- Work on Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 overpass
- Single-lane Hwy 169 traffic in each direction
- Occasional overnight closures of Hwy 169 for bridge work
- Temporary traffic light at Hwy 169 and Creek Ln.
- Truck traffic exiting and entering Hwy 169 at Co. Rd. 9 will instead be detoured to Delaware Ave./Co. Rd. 59
Stage 4: 2027
- Median and finishing work on Hwy 169
- Single-lane Hwy 169 traffic in each direction
- Remove temporary traffic light at Hwy 169 and Creek Ln.
- Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 overpass opens to traffic
Completed:
Stage 1 (spring to early summer 2025)
- Work begins on Hwy 169 interchange
