Hwy 10

Through fall

• Open one lane each way between 620th Ave. and Oink Joint Rd.
  • Expect head-to-head traffic with lane shifts, narrow or no shoulders and multiple crews at work
• Business access is maintained, follow signs

Hwy 71: Aldrich to Franklin Ave.

Aug. 3 to early September

• One lane open through work zone
  • Expect narrow lanes, closed shoulders, reduced speeds, lane shifts, flaggers and changes to access; follow signs.
  • This is downtown Wadena - please slow down and watch for pedestrians and bikers!
  • Truck detour—Limited space for large-vehicle turning movements: short-term truck detour needed to complete work at the Hwy 29 and Hwy 71 intersection.
    • Use Second St. SW between Hwy 29 and Hwy 10 (Google Map)

Pedestrians

• Sidewalk closures, follow signs (usually along the adjacent side)

• Closed to reconstruct the connection between the highway and the railroad. 
  • Detour: Use Hwy 10, Hwy 71 and Hwy 29
  • Note: Large vehicles should use the truck detour via Second St. SW between Hwy 29 and Hwy 10.

Access for those who live, work or visit areas along this project will be open and maintained at all times. However, expect these changes:

• Hard closures at times; contact businesses prior to your visit
• Use of a side streets, alleys or back/side entrances
• Gravel or grooved surfaces or temporary entrances
• Pedestrians will have sidewalk closures with detours
