Overnight Interstate 35W closure in Burnsville on Sept. 29 for concrete deck work

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Both directions of Interstate 35W will close between I-494 and the I-35/I-35E/I-35W split from 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
During the closure, motorists traveling northbound on I-35 can use northbound I-35E to northbound Highway 77 to westbound I-494 to northbound I-35W as a detour.
Motorists traveling southbound on I-35W can use eastbound I-494 to southbound Highway 77 to southbound I-35E to southbound I-35 as a detour.

This closure is necessary for crews to pour the concrete deck for the new Burnsville Parkway bridge.

At 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, the southbound I-35W (chute) ramp to Burnsville Parkway will close through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30. Then beginning at 9 p.m. that same day, crews will have nightly southbound I-35W ramp closures of both eastbound/northbound Highway 13 and Burnsville Parkway through 5 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.

At 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28 eastbound County Road 42 will be reduced to one lane at the intersection of Buck Hill Road through 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29. This closure is necessary for crews to mark pavement at the intersection of County Rod 42 and Buck Hill Road.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slowdown in work zones where workers are present.
