MnDOT will replace and update the 1943 Serpent Creek drainage structure beneath Hwy 210 which includes the water level control for Serpent Lake in Crosby. Project requires a detour.

Summary of work

  • Replace the drainage structures with a new concrete box and a fixed weir (a type of barrier that controls water flow) to manage lake levels
  • Reconfigure four underground storm sewer outlets into two, with added treatment features to reduce sediment and improve water filteration and flow
  • Stabilize the surrounding soil to prevent future settling and protect the new structure
  • Reconstruct pedestrian sidewalks and approaches
